Mark was very kind.

Mark was very kind. He assisted me with my 2019 Santa Fe service needs. He recommended that I obtain new tires, as mine were “in the red” per the service technician, so I elected to do so. He told me the fourth tire was $1 as there was a promotion. That was great. I asked to keep one tire to take and make a spare, and Mark accommodated my request. They were able to put the new tires on right away, so no extra trip was necessary. Thanks so much, Mark.

To start I am not one that writes many reviews but in this case I must. We bought a used 2004 Ford F-150 from Gettle Hyundai of Lakewood. We found the truck online thru Carfax.com. It was a one owner truck with 124K miles on it and all the info said that the truck was well maintained. Some dealers wouldn't keep this old of a vehicle on the lot and maybe send to an auction, but in this case they did. Knowing that the truck was being sold at a new car dealership gave us a sense of comfort that the car had gone thru their multipoint inspection process and was good. We called and spoke with the sales rep Willie McNeal to let him know that we were interested and that we will be driving up from Atlanta area to take a look it. So he put the truck on hold for us so we could meet up the next day and take it for a test drive. Willie was very personable and real, very easy to deal with and not like a stereotype sales associate that you hear of. His goal was to make sure we were comfortable and comfortable with the truck. We bought the truck and drove it home. Unfortunately the truck broke down about 12 miles just before getting home. We called Willie the next day to let him know what was going on and he immediately got his manager Kevin Allen involved. The truck had a 500 mile/3day warranty, but that expired on our trip home. We took the truck to our local mechanic where they diagnosed it with a #3 and #4 cylinder misfire, although they could not figure out what the actual problem was as there are many things that it could be. Kevin from Gettle and I were in communication often during the process and then suggested we take it to a Ford dealer near us, that way they could do a dealer to dealer transaction to cover the cost. The dealer had it for over 5 weeks and then finally said we need a new engine. This did not seem right with either Kevin or I, so we had the truck towed to another Ford Specialist in the area. They took one look at it and found that one of valve springs was broken. The fix was made and the truck returned to us. Kevin at Gettle said not to worry about the bill and took care of the cost. Awesome ! Well we got the truck home, cleaned it up and drove it a few miles. The next day the we heard a knocking noise from the motor. Not good, what next ? I called Kevin once a gain and we took the truck back to the same specialist. They said it was the timing chain, guides and tensioners going bad as well as cam phasers. I called Kevin at Gettle once again and he said get it fixed. Kevin was just a shocked as we were and said this was something that they did not expect to happen and was very apologetic through the whole process. The truck was fixed once again and has been driving great since! And Gettle ? Well, they picked up the cost for all the repairs and I can tell you they were not cheap repairs. Kevin and Gettle Hyundai could have very well said I was responsible for the cost, but they stood by and made sure that we were taken care of. I can't speak highly enough of this dealership. In every way shape and form they stood by their sale and to make sure it was right. I don't know what kind of profit they made on this sale, but in my opinion and of what I know based on the repair cost, the profit was not as important as their integrity. Integrity was everything to this group and it shows. In my book Willie, Kevin and Gettle Hyundai of Lakewood are awesome ! Thank you for all that you did !!!

I was an out of state buyer.

I was an out of state buyer. Needless to say this is always an uncomfortable position because you know that they are aware that you are essentially a secure customer and you hoping that they offer fair pricing. In this case, the advertised price was different from what they quoted me... Basically they offer a $1,000 discount if you finance through them and another $1,000 if you trade in your vehicle with them. While I don't agree, this is their practice to stay in business and become more appealing, but with the caveat that they end up forcing your hand in order to give you the advertised price. My sales agent, Megan, was a sweetheart... even after I briefly backed out of the deal. I believe she was very professional and offered every piece of information that I requested. The finance guy, Brandon, on the other hand was a real charm... Nothing too bad, but he definitely needs to work on his customer service skills and not be so pushy with the maintenance packages offered upon signing UPDATE: I spoke with the GM, and he offered a better explanation about their pricing. All things considered, they are willing to take this as a lesson.

The sales people bent over backwards to make us happy. Would definitely use again. We even had a small mechanical issue with our car and they got us into service right away and fixed it.

My daughter was searching for cars with Carfax.

My daughter was searching for cars with Carfax. She found the car of her dreams at Gettel Hyundai. She contacted the dealer and started what she thought was the buying process, including completing a credit app. When she called the next morning to get a status update she was informed the car was sold to someone else. The salesman said it was out of his control, a manager had let the car go because they do not hold cars. So, the car is gone, and no one really cares about my daughter's deal. This dealer is all about the money. For example, in every used car contract they include an Average Investment Reconditioning cost of $1,495 and a Pre-Delivery Service Charge of $1,099. So, there is $1,500 to wash and vacuum the car, and the salesman told me the $1,099 goes in Mr. Gettel's pocket to "help pay expenses." If you would prefer not to deal with a dealer that typifies the "used car dealer," then find someone else to buy a car from. UPDATE: Within two hours my daughter found the same model car with similar mileage and price at Courtesy Chrysler Jeep in Tampa. She asked them if they would sell the car out from under her while she was completing the finance application. They responded, "no that would not be fair, we would never do that." She completed the app, was approved in less than a minute, and the deal was sealed. And, there was no Average Investment Reconditioning or Pre-Delivery Service Charge! How Gettel Hyundai gets good reviews is beyond me.

Willie was great to work.

Willie was great to work. He answered all our questions and was concerned about our comfort. It was a hot day outside. The guy handling the final paperwork answered all our questions. I felt like I had new friends. The made the car buying experience tolerable. The website did not show accurate info however.
